CELEBRATING HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH

Our story began in Los Angeles in 1917, when our founder immigrated to America with a dream, a strong sense of family + traditions worth carrying forward. Four generations later, we’re still family-owned + still believe the best things in life are meant to be shared.

No matter where you’re from or what traditions you call your own, there’s something special about sharing them with others. This Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re celebrating the cultures + traditions that have enriched our communities and become part of the story of Los Angeles. Whether you’re honoring traditions close to home or discovering something new, pull up a chair, pour a glass + join the fiesta.

a month worth celebrating

Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 through October 15, honoring the histories, cultures + contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities.

The celebration begins September 15, marking the independence anniversaries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras + Nicaragua, followed by Mexico on September 16 and Chile on September 18.

But heritage is about more than looking back. It’s also about the traditions we carry forward, the ones we make our own + the ones we invite others to experience with us.

MAKE SOMETHING DELICIOUS

Food has a way of bringing people together. A recipe can remind you of home, introduce you to a culture you’ve never experienced or become a new tradition all its own.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, make something familiar or try something completely new. From skirt steak tacos and camarones al ajillo to street corn dip + a Mexican-inspired cheese board, there’s plenty to make, pour + share.

POUR A WINE WORTH SHARING

Whatever is on the menu, there’s a San Antonio Wine to pour alongside it.

For dishes with a little heat, try Villadoro Moscato, a sweet wine with floral notes of peach + honey. Pair rich, savory dishes with Imperial and its full-bodied dark fruit. Reach for refreshing Granada Rosé alongside seafood, citrus + fresh herbs. Or pour naturally sweet, ripe red berry Cardinale when there’s a little bit of everything on the table.

There are no complicated rules here. Find what you like, pour a glass + enjoy it together.

FIESTA YOUR WAY

There’s no one way to fiesta. It can be a recipe your family has made for generations or one you just discovered. A house full of relatives or a casual dinner with a few friends. The music you grew up with or a playlist someone just introduced you to.

That’s the beauty of sharing traditions. We get to appreciate where they came from while discovering where they can take us next. So make something. Pour something. Invite someone in. Make everyday a fiesta.
